Central Metals Limited is a proud family-owned and operated metal recycling business located in Hamilton and servicing the Central North Island region. We have been recycling your scrap metal for over 20 years.

It was started in 1999 by Mark and Anne, who grew Central Metals from a small one-person start-up to a now thriving company, employing a team of thirteen.

Mark started his scrap-metal recycling career over 25 years ago after growing up in Hamilton’s automotive scene, wrecking cars. After establishing an abundance of relationships and a well-respected reputation in the industry, he decided to branch out on his own to start Central Metals. Mark spent the majority of his time as the main truck driver for the company and has only recently ‘retired’ to the office but is still an integral part of the operations. He is still the main point of contact for many of our client queries, mainly dealing with our business customer base.

A true family business, with Mark and Anne’s two daughters now helping run the company. Their eldest daughter, Melissa – Operations Manager, has been in the metal recycling industry for over 20 years. As well as previously being one of the leading truck drivers for the company, Melissa brings her extensive experience and knowledge of the trade to run the daily operations and logistics for the company. Jenna – Business Manager, is Mark and Anne’s youngest daughter. She mainly manages the business’s customer service, oversees all of the communications internally and externally, and also compliance for Central Metals.

Their staff have extensive knowledge and experience within the metal recycling industry. The Central Metals Team is passionate about what they do and enjoys working alongside their customers to get the best out of their products.
