Health and Safety
Since we operate in a high-risk industry, our staff are competently trained in all health and safety areas required by the Health and Safety Act 2015. All our drivers have appropriate licenses and are certified in Risk Identification and Hazard Management. All of our operating equipment is regularly checked and certified.
We have a strict list of prohibited items that we do not accept.
The items below cannot be processed at Central Metals Limited and are, therefore, not accepted/prohibited.
- Do not place any items listed in bins
- Do not temporarily store any of these items in bins
- Do not hide or attempt to cover any of these items within bins
- Do not place any of these items in our trucks
- Do not drop any of these items off at Central Metals (car batteries are accepted)

- Corrosive Substances
- Gas bottles, Pressure Vessels and Accumulators
- Explosives or Ordnance
- Poisons of any type
- Radioactive Material
- Asbestos
- Flammable liquids or items
- Biohazard sharps
- Rubbish or organic waste. Non-metallic refuse. Drums unless certified as clean
- Devices or stored energy. Rechargeable power tools and torches. E-scooters and E-bikes. Nickel-metal hydride batteries. Lithium-ion batteries
