scrap metal cars

Central Metals Limited is a proud family-owned and operated metal recycling business located in Hamilton, and servicing the wider Waikato region.

Started in 1999 by Mark and Anne, Central Metals Limited has now been operating for over 20 years.
Mark started his scrap-metal recycling career over 25 years ago after growing up in the car-wrecking scene in Hamilton. After establishing an abundance of relationships and a well-respected reputation in the industry, he decided to branch out on his own – Mark grew Central Metals from a small one-man start-up to a now thriving company, employing a team of ten with plenty of experience and knowledge in metal recycling.

Mark and Anne's two daughters are now helping run the business.
Their eldest daughter, Melissa, has been in the metal industry for almost 20 years'. She brings her extensive experience and knowledge of the trade to run the daily operations and logistics for the company. Jenna, their youngest daughter, manages their customer experience and service. She also oversees the communications for the company and provides support to everything else behind the scenes.

The whole Central Metals Team is passionate about what they do and enjoys working alongside their customers to get the best out of their product.

Waikato Steel Fabricators (WSF) has been in business for 31 years and we have always used Central Metals to collect our scrap metal.  In that time, they have always provided us with great service, Central Metals has always been proactive with price fluctuations and that has kept us loyal to Central Metals.
Health and safety are always a top priority due to the nature of our work, working with large steel sections.  We’re pleased that Central Metals has taken the initiative to implement their new skip bin system and gantry truck – the load of the bin is in a very safe manner so there is a little-no risk of anyone getting injured. This is something that we have welcomed as a company that is very proactive with health and safety.
